2013 Scholarship Application Instructions & InformationApplication deadline is 6:00pm, Monday, April 22, 2013 Scholarships will be awarded to seniors graduating from a Mayes County High School. Scholarship recipient s must enroll in a technical field of study that will result in a two (2) year terminal degree. (ie…Associates of Applied Science) The amount of the 1st Place scholarship will be in the amount of $3,000.00, paid in $1,000.00 increments each semester or trimester until amount is exhausted. 2nd and 3rd place recipients will receive $1,000 and $750, respectively, in a lump sum payment. 4th and 5th place will receive a $500 "book" scholarship each. All checks will be made payable to the school in which the recipient is enrolled. The 1st place scholarship recipient must carry a 2.0 GPA and semester must run concurrently once enrolled. Proof of enrollment and copy of transcript required in order to have check issued.. Application must be typed on the website or downloaded and typed and delivered to Roberts Auto Center: 3301 S. Mill St – Highway 69: Pryor. NO HANDWRITTEN ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED. You MUST attach a copy of your High School transcript with your ACT scores recorded on it. If your ACT scores are not recorded on your transcript you must attach a copy of your results to your transcript or a letter explaining why you have not taken the ACT. Finalist will be required to attend an interview session with our judges on April 25, 2013. In order to be considered you must be able to interview at time given. Winners will be announced at a luncheon held at Roberts Auto Center on, Thursday, May 2, 2013. All finalists must attend luncheon. Application deadline is 6:00pm, Monday, April 22, 2013. |
